Decoding Teams: Team Output and Individual Productivity

Edit resource

During the SciTS 2018 Conference, Mohammad Ahmadpoor and Benjamin F. Jones discuss their research about team output and credit assignment. They were looking at how individual qualities map onto the team's output and how individual productivities are inferred when people work in teams. From their study they determined that there is a computationally-feasible method for analyzing team production for both large papers and patent datasets. Also, large teams have an advantage when members have similar individual productivity.
